  8. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Please plan to attend this meaningful worship of scripture readings that tell the story of Jesus’ birth, along with hymns and special music to match each scripture. At the end of the worship service, the artificial sanctuary lights are turned off. The pastor lights a candle from the flame of the Christ candle and goes to the congregation with that light. Each person in the congregation helps the person next in the pew to light their personal candle. As the Christmas carol, “Silent Night” is sung, the accumulated glow from the candles’ flames fills the sanctuary.
